$50 - $150 USD hourly

• $50–$150 per hour equivalent, paid per accepted task

• 100% remote

• Part-time

• Fully flexible schedule

Evaluate CFD AI systems on your own schedule and help improve how they solve and explain engineering simulations.

AI training is the human work behind artificial intelligence: experts read what a model produces, decide whether it is right, and write the feedback that makes the next version better. AI systems learn from examples reviewed by engineering experts, so the teams building them need CFD engineers who can check whether an AI-generated technical answer holds up against fluid-dynamics theory, simulation practice and validation data. This is part-time contract work done remotely on a flexible schedule.

What you'll do

• Solve and review advanced CFD problems covering turbulence models, mesh generation, heat transfer, multiphase flow and solver configuration

• Check AI-generated engineering answers for correctness, technical accuracy and engineering integrity

• Troubleshoot with convergence analysis, boundary-condition checks, mesh-independence studies and turbulence-model selection

• Validate heat-transfer, fluid-flow and multiphysics results against analytical or experimental data, and document clear feedback

Why this is worth your time

• Earn $50–$150 an hour equivalent while assessing AI-generated CFD answers and explaining subtle errors

• Work on AI systems that solve and explain engineering simulations, from turbulence modeling to validation

• Apply your CFD judgment to decide whether an AI answer is technically sound and explain where it fails

• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute

Who this is for

• Preferred: a bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical, aerospace or chemical engineering, fluid dynamics, thermofluids or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Preferred: three or more years of hands-on CFD simulation and validation work

• Strong understanding of the Navier-Stokes equations, RANS, LES and DES, meshing strategies, boundary conditions, and verification and validation

• Excellent written and verbal English proficiency

• Helpful background includes experience with CFD tools and familiarity with ASME V&V 20, AIAA CFD verification and validation, ITTC procedures, or comparable practices; experience with ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM, COMSOL, or Converge, plus technical problem authoring, committee service, competition leadership, or recognized CFD contributions.

• No AI experience needed. You bring the CFD expertise; your engineering judgment helps evaluate and improve AI-generated simulation answers.

Pay and details

• $50–$150 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor

• Part-time, flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
