• 100% remote

• Part-time

• About 15 hours a week, you choose when

Create and validate aerodynamics and CFD tasks for AI systems on your own schedule and help improve how they model real flows.

AI training is the human work behind artificial intelligence: experts read what a model produces, decide whether it is right, and write the feedback that makes the next version better. AI systems learn from engineering tasks built and checked by experts, so the teams building them need aerodynamics and CFD engineers who can set up solver-ready cases and judge whether results hold up physically. This is part-time contract work done remotely, about 15 hours a week, on a flexible schedule.

What you'll do

• Turn physical requirements into solver-ready computational models, including geometries, domains and meshes

• Set boundary and initial conditions, fluid properties and solver settings, then run CFD and aerodynamic analyses from the command line

• Automate preprocessing, parameter sweeps, simulations, postprocessing and validation with Python

• Calculate lift and drag, diagnose non-convergence or physically invalid outputs, and explain your modeling assumptions and trade-offs

Why this is worth your time

• Build practical aerodynamics-AI evaluation skills while earning $80–$120 an hour equivalent creating and validating CFD tasks

• Work on airfoil and aerodynamic problems that AI systems learn from, from mesh strategy to lift and drag checks

• Apply your aerodynamics judgment to decide whether simulation results are numerically stable and physically valid

• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute

Who this is for

• Graduate training in aerospace engineering, or in mechanical engineering specializing in aerodynamics, fluid dynamics or thermofluids

• Or, in place of graduate training, a bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering plus 1 to 2 years of professional or research experience specific to aerospace

• Strong knowledge of applied aerodynamics and fluid mechanics

• Experience formulating and running CFD or aerodynamic analyses

• Practical Python skills and experience with a programmatic API, scripting interface, configuration-based tool or command-line tool

• Fluent in English

• Helpful background includes OpenFOAM, SU2, Gmsh, FEniCSx, Elmer, CalculiX, SciPy, NumPy, pandas, Matplotlib, Jupyter, solver APIs, and mesh-processing libraries, or equivalent engineering software experience; prior AI training work is not required.

Pay and details

• $80–$120 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor

• Part-time, flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
