Intuitive is hiring a Systems Mapping Contractor on behalf of a client in the food manufacturing space. This consultant will lead a high-priority initiative to create a clear, detailed view of the organization’s enterprise and plant-level technology landscape across U.S. and Canadian operations.
The contractor will document systems, integrations, ownership, dependencies, data flows, and business impact—from core enterprise platforms to plant-specific applications and operational technology. This work will support technology planning, vendor rationalization, risk management, and long-term internal upkeep.
Key Deliverables

Complete enterprise and plant-level system inventory across U.S. and Canadian operations

Visual maps showing systems, integrations, data flows, dependencies, and business-process relationships

Documented mapping methodology, standards, definitions, and governance recommendations

Vendor and application-footprint assessment identifying overlap, concentration risk, dependencies, and rationalization opportunities

Lifecycle and risk view identifying end-of-life exposure, critical systems, and operational vulnerabilities
-
Prioritized recommendations and roadmap for deeper analysis, modernization, consolidation, or risk mitigation

Handoff documentation and a practical process for internal teams to maintain the system map over time
Required Qualifications

Significant experience leading systems mapping, process mapping, enterprise architecture, business architecture, or technology-transformation initiatives

Background in process engineering, operational excellence, Lean/Six Sigma, enterprise architecture, or a comparable consulting discipline

Ability to lead structured discovery in environments where documentation is incomplete and key knowledge resides with internal stakeholders

Experience documenting application portfolios, system architecture, integrations, data flows, process dependencies, and technology ownership

Strong ability to turn complex technical and operational information into clear, practical documentation and visual maps for business and IT audiences

Experience assessing application rationalization opportunities, vendor concentration, lifecycle risk, and technology dependencies

Excellent facilitation and stakeholder-management skills, including experience working with technical, business, and plant or operations teams

Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and build momentum on a high-visibility initiative
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in food manufacturing, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or another asset-intensive operating environment

Experience mapping both enterprise systems and plant- or site-specific applications

Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Microsoft Fabric, and/or Microsoft Purview

Experience with application portfolio management, systems visualization, business capability mapping, or similar architecture and documentation tools

Experience creating sustainable documentation and governance processes that internal teams can maintain over time
