Position: Scrum Master - Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT)
Department: Geospatial Intelligence, Electric Business Analytics & Operations Data Engineering
Location: Downtown, Houston, TX
Work Model: Hybrid (4 days / 1 days)- Onsite 4 days a week-no remote- no exceptions

Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions.
- Coach and mentor Agile teams on Scrum principles, Agile best practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Partner with Product Owners to maintain a prioritized and well-groomed product backlog.
- Ensure sprint goals, deliverables, and commitments are clearly defined and understood by the team.
- Identify, track, and remove impediments that impact team productivity and project delivery.
- Foster a collaborative, self-organizing, and high-performing team environment.
- Monitor sprint progress and team performance using Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown, cycle time, and throughput.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among development teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and issues affecting project timelines and delivery objectives.
- Support release planning, roadmap discussions, and cross-functional coordination efforts.
- Drive continuous process improvements through retrospective action items and Agile maturity assessments.
- Maintain project visibility through Agile tools Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Prepare and present status updates, Agile metrics, and progress reports to stakeholders (Product Owner, Program Manager/Project Manager).
- Promote adherence to Agile governance standards and organizational delivery practices.
- Support multiple Agile teams in a fast-paced IT environment when required.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean principles.
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or Confluence.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve project risks, dependencies, and blockers effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification.
- Experience supporting cloud, DevOps, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices.
- Experience working in large enterprise IT environments.
