Your Opportunity

Stantec Geomatics Ltd. is seeking a Geomatics Project Manager to develop prospects in our London office. This position involves the supervision of a dedicated team of survey technologists and technicians and liaising with clients and team leaders from other consulting engineering disciplines. This position will appeal to those individuals who enjoy a dynamic work environment where they can manage multifaceted projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Project Management.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing & Business Development
  • Preparing proposals
  • Project research
  • Project computations
  • Preparation of HSSE related pre-planning documentation
  • Field and office staff supervision
  • Analysis and least squares adjustment of raw field data using Trimble Business Center. Other software where proficiency is required include AutoCAD Civil 3D, Leica Cyclone & Global Mapper 
  • Plan review
  • Reporting and timely delivery on final returns
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, timelines and project budgets
  • Invoicing


Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Experience in residential and commercial land development, transportation, environmental and industrial sectors
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience with GPS, total station, LiDAR and UAV survey equipment
  • Experience with survey computational and least squares adjustment software (Trimble Business Centre, Global Mapper, Leica Cyclone and AutoCAD Civil 3D)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Solid understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements as pertains to cadastral land surveying
  • Eager to learn and develop professionally
  • Self-motivated – this role will appeal to those that thrive in a fast paced environment

Education and Experience

  • Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the land surveying / geomatics industry
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, client management or team leadership position
  • Ontario Land Surveyor (OLS) designation preferred

Will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work
