As a Geomatics Field Technician within our Transportation & Infrastructure team in Moncton, you’ll support projects that help shape how communities move, grow, and thrive. In this role, you will be responsible for the collection of field data to aid in engineering design and legal boundary survey solutions. Projects may include subdivisions, SRPRs, woods retracements, topographic surveys, construction layout, municipal water and sewer work, and residential or commercial site developments.
You’ll be part of a collaborative Maritime‑based Geomatics group trusted to deliver accurate, high‑quality survey data across a wide variety of land development and infrastructure projects.
Your Impact
• Represent WSP onsite with professionalism and integrity.
• Capture precise field data supporting engineering design and legal surveys.
• Maintain clean, complete, and detailed survey field notes.
• Apply sound survey methodology to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Identify when extra work is required and communicate effectively with the Project Manager.
• Operate Trimble survey equipment and software.
• Utilize Leica scanning systems for site documentation.
• Travel throughout the Maritime Provinces to support project delivery.
• Safely use and maintain company‑provided vehicles and field equipment.
• Support additional survey or project‑related tasks as assigned.
The Skills That Set You Apart
• Geomatics Engineering Technician/Technologist certificate (or equivalent) from an accredited college.
• 3–5 years of surveying experience in New Brunswick (asset).
• Experience with CADD platforms (asset).
• Ability to prioritize work, stay organized, and perform effectively in dynamic field environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid NB driver’s licence in good standing.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $57,500 – $76,200
MB & ON: $52,500 – $72,300
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $52,000 – $69,000
